Trach Bardo
Dmytro is a visual artist from Vinnytsia, Ukraine, currently based in Amsterdam. His work creates immersive, self-contained worlds—paintings that invite viewers not just to look, but to step inside and explore.
In recent years, especially following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, painting has become more personal and urgent for Dmytro. It became a way to process emotions and support others, with many of his works donated to charity efforts.
His visual language is built on vivid color, clean forms, and symbolic detail. Recurring elements—flowers, hospitality objects, architectural fragments—act as emotional and cultural anchors. These symbols give depth and invite viewers into layered, reflective narratives.
While visually bold, Dmytro’s paintings often carry a quiet tension. They resist simple explanations and instead offer space for interpretation. Each piece explores contrasts—light and shadow, stillness and movement, structure and spontaneity.
Recently, Dmytro held his first solo exhibition in Amsterdam, marking a key step in his artistic journey. His paintings do not offer answers. Instead, they extend an open invitation to pause, look closely, and enter new, imagined spaces shaped by memory and emotion.
