Kunstmarkt Noord

Kunstmarkt Noord is a quarterly art market in Amsterdam Noord, focused on making art accessible for everyone. It’s a welcoming space for new and passionate artists to show their work and connect with art lovers, collectors, and the local community. Founded by Lisa van Oosten and Lana van Beelen, Kunstmarkt Noord brings together a variety of artists—painters, photographers, ceramicists, and illustrators.

The market offers art at different prices, with pieces starting under €100 as well as some higher-value works, making it easy for anyone to start their art collection. Each event has a relaxed, friendly vibe with DJs and is set up to help visitors meet the artists and find unique pieces to enjoy.

Through partnerships with local cultural venues, Kunstmarkt Noord reaches a wide and diverse audience. It’s not just a place to buy art, but also a supportive platform where new artists can take their first steps into the art world.

Mission

We operate out of a deep love for artists and the art scene. Unlike many art galleries, profit is not a factor for us. Our goal is to provide a tangible platform for emerging artists. As an artist and art café owner, Lisa and Lana bring a unique combination of perspectives. Lana has ten years of experience in selecting art from diverse corners of society and facilitating new collaborations among artists. Lisa’s expertise lies in guiding art enthusiasts through the creative process, ensuring that the needs of the artists remain at the heart of our market organization.

Vision

We aim to become a "household name" in Amsterdam's art scene. For artists, this means being recognized as the go-to place where emerging talents can find a platform to showcase their work. For art lovers and buyers, we want to be known as a welcoming space where you can meet and support the artists of tomorrow in an accessible way. Additionally, we aspire to be recognized for offering affordable art, where curious buyers and budding collectors know they can find success.
