Luna Laila

Luna Laila (b. Haarlem, 2000) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Amsterdam, working at the intersection of online media, visual arts, and music. An autodidact with audiovisual training from Media College Amsterdam, she has built a broad creative practice including painting, tattooing, fashion, photography, videography, graphic design, music production, DJing, and event organization.

She began her career at Vice Media Group, contributing as a video editor for Vice Nederland, Noisey, Motherboard, and Vice UK, and hosting her own series Koken en Smoken, where she cooked vegan dishes with special guests.

As a freelancer, Luna has worked with VANS Europe, Eye Film Museum, VERS Film Festival, Mascotte, Mecanoo, and No Art Festival. Her community-focused work includes Fiercely Fem at Parallel, promoting connection, empowerment, and safe spaces for women and non-binary people in nightlife.

Her visual art has been featured at The Grey Space in the Middle, 2ⁿᵈ Culture, WIHH Gallery, De Bouwput, MONO, and PAARD. During her residency at NDSM Treehouse, she led upcycling workshops focused on sustainable fashion.

Living at Heesterveld Creative Community, Luna continues to evolve her practice. As a DJ, she has performed from Amsterdam and Berlin to New York, Tokyo, and the Philippines, blending experimental club sounds with personal storytelling.
